This farmhouse got a completely new look with new siding, deck, and most importantly a completely new roof structure. This family wanted to have a porch that went around the entire side of the house and wrapped around the front of the house. On the rear of the house we added a gazebo style end. In order to make the roof on the porch work we had to completely re-construct the roof over the lower portion of the home to create a new slope. We then constructed a new porch and roof around the side of the home. The decking is a natural color composite decking material with a white vinyl lattice, and a white vinyl rail system. The porch features a vinyl ceiling panel to give it a farm house bead board look. The roof is covered in an Owens Corning asphalt shingle.

Wrap-Around Composite Deck

This project was a two-part project. The homeowner originally wanted to do a 16×12 deck on the rear of the home, but once it was completed realized they did indeed want a larger deck. The entire deck was built with wolmanized lumber and covered with composite decking. The deck features a matching composite rail and a bench made from composite decking. Before the second deck was added, composite spindles were attached to the bottom half of the screen room windows for safety, once the deck was added they decided to keep them to help protect the screen.

18 X 24 Family Room

This family had a large lot in Grand Ledge and was looking to make their home more comfortable. We added on to the rear of the home an 18×24 addition, completely removing the old wall, with a fully insulated block basement. In the basement we added an egress window with well, leaving the option to finish the basement adding more square footage. On the main level we framed, insulated, dry walled, painted, extended the HVAC system to the room, and installed all electrical needed. We installed new cork flooring in not only the addition, but also the existing kitchen. The addition features a North Star 15 foot bi-parting door, two awning window, and one large mulled unit with a round top window to complete the look in the gable. All of the windows and doors are our North Star vinyl products with the Canadian Oak interior. On the exterior of the addition we constructed a 6×16 wolmanized deck, installed vinyl siding, and asphalt shingles to match the existing home. This project took approximately two months to complete.
