So many houses in the Lansing area have this look; brick on bottom and white aluminum siding on top that overhangs the first story. They all have an uncovered concrete stoop that is sturdy but it requires shoveling and does not protect you or your guests from the rain and snow. This couple decided to keep the concrete porch, but enlarge it a little and cover it. The new concrete porch is approximately 6×12 with new stairs and a new curved walkway. The porch features white vinyl rails and columns to create a maintenance free front entry and a low-sloped roof. The ceiling we finished with a vinyl soffit material to give it a classic look. This new covered front porch creates a more dramatic and elegant appearance to the front of the home.
